How Recycled Countertops Are Made

Recycled Glass Durability
- Scratch-resistant – Holds up well against everyday wear, but using a cutting board is recommended to prevent surface blemishes.
- Stain-resistant – Non-porous when sealed, making it resistant to common spills and stains.
- Heat-resistant – Tolerates moderate heat, but always use a trivet to avoid cracking from sudden temperature changes.
- Crack-resistant – While recycled glass is durable, standing or sitting on countertops is never recommended, as it can lead to cracking or structural damage.
- Low-maintenance – Easy to clean with soap and water; some versions may require occasional resealing depending on the binder material..
